Best Wine Under $15?

I often hear the question which wine is the best. Even more often the question comes more specific: What is the best wine for under $15.00. I love wine and don't mind spending on a great bottle. But who doesn't love a great bargain wine. As an example, one night I had a Sutter Home 2004 chardonnay. The local liquor store around the corner had it one sale. I think it was about $13 for a bottle or so. I really enjoyed this wine. The aroma was so cool, smooth and really refreshing at the same time. The wine had a wonderful brightness of fruity overtones like peachy appley meloney flavours. I even got the wine aerator out and tried this wine again. It was crazy – I am tempted to say that the wine aerator moved this wine from the under $15 class up 2 or 3 levels.

My wife would say that this is a very difficult question to answer (What wine under $15 is best?). Most wines she enjoys are usually under $15. We have an agreement where she picks the wines for when I cook dinner (I love to cook) and I pick the wines when she stands in the kitchen preparing a great meal. I asked her the question and she said the Di Majo Norante was surprisingly good for the money. If I remember we had this wine about 3-4 weeks ago for the first time. You will probably have to experiment a little bit until you find the wine you like that is under $15.00 per bottle.
